Torrey Building Systems insulated the Show Home for 2009 Southern Builders' Show with Icynene's Insulation System. Our strong reputation in the industry has been built by understanding how to air-seal and insulate a home to out-perform today's highest GREEN building standards. Creating an efficient building envelope will have the largest impact on a homes ability to be GREEN. Icynene homes are quieter, more energy efficient, and allow for dramatically improved indoor air quality.

We worked with Carl Seville at Seville Consulting, Project Coordinator, and Michael LaBelle, Builder, to give the participants of this year's HBA Show the opportunity to see how science is changing the way we insulate homes. This home scored a <.15 CFM50/SFBE on EarthCraft's blower-door/air-infiltration test, significantly better than required to surpass EarthCraft and LEED Platinum levels, substantially better than can be achieved by Fiberglass or Cellulose. This home received the maximum 35 points allowed for the building envelope for EarthCraft's certification.
